Prime Years Academy utilizes the award-winning Creative Curriculum for Preschool as the foundation for its program. The philosophy behind this curriculum is that each child is a unique individual and that young children learn best by doing.
The program focuses on the development of fine and gross motor skills, socialization, literacy (reading and writing), problem solving, and creativity through play. These basic abilities form the foundation of all subsequent learning.
Our teachers guide the children through the learning process by intentionally exposing them to experiences, both indoors and outdoors, that support their growth in all areas of development.
Prime Years Academy integrates a uniquely developed Islamic Education program into the environment and daily experiences of the children. The foundation of the program is based on the following three concepts:
Furthermore, as Arabic is the language of Qur’an, Hadith, and much of the preserved Islamic literature, our program aims to expose children to the Arabic language and familiarize them with its common words, sounds, and symbols.
Field Trip to Tanaka Farms:
Prime Years Academy will be visiting Tanaka Farms this month. The preschoolers will experience a real functioning farm with over 30 diffrent crops. they will pick vegetables, find their way out of a corn maze, take an authentic wagon ride around the farm, feed the animals at the petting zoo, and take home their own little pumpkin.
Soccer Shots Fall Session:
Soccer Shots Fall season will start September 13, 2017 and will last ten weeks, until November 15, 2017. Sessions are held at PYA every Wednesday and Thursday morning at 9:00am. Please register on-line at soccershots.org/northinlandempire
